In order to install the supercharger, you will need hose clamps, a tappet or a similar featured wrench, a mallet or hammer, as well as a drill bit and drill.

Step 5: Take the intake elbow and push the elbow on the supercharger. This is a little bit of a challenge but can be done with a mallet as long as you add a little bit of force. Do not employ too much force though as this might cause damage.

Step 6: Place the black elbow so that it connects from the inlet to the fender.

Step 7: Before the installation of the back elbow, make a hole for the sensor that monitors air temperature. This hole can be drilled with the available drill bit. Once the hole is drilled, place the sensor near the outer elbow bend area.

Step 8: Attach the tube of the airflow meter to the elbow.

Step 9: Take the hose clamps and place on the inlet tube at the end. This allows for the blue hose to be slipped onto this end of the tube. This hose is located between the back elbow and the inlet tube.

Advantages of the Supercharger

The most prominent advantage to the supercharger is the fact that it can significantly increase the horsepower of the engine. Installing a supercharger to either a truck or car will allow the vehicle to function as an automobile would with a much more powerful engine.

Although some individuals favor turbochargers, there are several advantages that a supercharger has over the turbocharger. The first is that the supercharger does not suffer from lag, which is the amount of time that passes between when the driver steps on the gas pedal and when the engine responds. In contrast, this is an issue with turbochargers as it takes several moments for the gases of the exhaust to reach the velocity that is required in order to drive the turbine or impeller.
